US House passes water infrastructure bill
The US House of Representatives has passed a new water infrastructure act by a vote of 399-25, paving the way for its ratification by President Barack Obama, Kallanish reports.
The Water Resources Development Act, which has already been approved by the US Sentate, releases funding for a variety of navigational and sewage-related projects, notably lock and dam repair and an overhaul of the Flint, Michigan, water system.
