US flats exports drop in December
US exports of most flat rolled products declined at year-end 2021, according to US government data analysed by Kallanish.
Exports of hot dipped galvanized sheet and strip – the most exported US steel product – declined 11% from November to 92,975 tonnes in December. HDG shipments to Canada were down 19% month-on-month to 45,691t and down 3% to Mexico with 46,244t in Mexico.
