US exports tick down in July
Overall exports of US steel products ticked down from June to July, with lower sales to Canada but higher shipments to Mexico, according to US Department of Commerce data.
Exports totaled 685,769 tonnes in July, a 2.8% month-on-month decline but an increase of 49% year-on-year, Kallanish calculates. Compared to the monthly average of 668,036t in the first six months of this year, July exports were up 2.65%.
