US drops two rigs, Canada loses four on-week
The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US decreased by two for the week ended 10 May, whilst Canada decreased its count by four rigs on-week, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes.
The US rig count totals 603, a decrease of 128 from the equivalent week in 2023. Of the total, 496 are oil rigs, 103 are gas rigs, and four are categorised as miscellaneous.
