US drives Turkish scrap imports rebound in July
Turkish scrap imports surged in July, after decreasing in June, mainly on the back of a jump in supplies from the US, Kallanish notes from the latest Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data.
July's scrap imports came in at 2.02 million tonnes, up 89.9% on-year and 55.4% on-month. The overall average value/tonne of these imports rose to $277/tonne from $262/t a year ago.
