US domestic scrap prices settle higher
In the US domestic market, scrap demand has picked up this week following a subdued period during the Thanksgiving holiday last week, while prices have settled higher, as expected.
Demand is seen to have trended strongly this week, and scrap sellers’ $30/gross ton price increase in the domestic market has easily gained acceptance from US mills, Kallanish notes.
