US crude steel production falls on week
US raw steel production fell slightly on week but remain ups on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production currently stands at 1.873 million short tons at 80.5% percent capability utilisation – down -0.7% from last week, when utilisation was 81.1%, but up 3.2% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.4%.
