US court rules in favour of 232 tariffs

A federal court has ruled in favour of the Trump administration’s signature 232 steel and aluminium tariffs following a challenge from American Institute for International Steel, Kallanish reports.  The 25% steel tariffs were originally instituted in March 2018, ostensibly to protect national security interests tied to the availability of domestic steel.  The institute, which represents domestic traders and importers, challenged the 232 measures iā€¦
