Construction spending rises, starts fall during 2020

US non-residential construction starts were down in 2020 despite an increase in spending, Kallanish learns. According to an industry analysis by ConstructConnect, construction spending in the US increased by 4.8% from 2019 to $1.43 trillion in 2020.
