US construction industry contracts in September
The US construction industry appears to have contracted in September, Kallanish learns from key economic indicators such as job openings and new industry hires.
According to a newly released job opening and labour turnover report by the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, the number of job opening in the construction industry decreased from 275,000 jobs in August to 229,000 jobs in September. This amounts to a -0.6% decline in job openings.
