US, Canada steel shipments fall in September
North American steel service centre shipments retreated in September after August’s gain, Kallanish learns from the Metals Service Center Institute.
US service centre shipments fell by about -6.6% from September 2015. Steel inventories concurrently fell -17.2% in the same time period.
Canadian shipments, meanwhile, fell by -8.5% and inventories fell -15.6%.
