US adds two rigs, Canada gains eight

The number of active oil and gas rigs in the US is higher by two week-on-week, whilst Canada has increased its total by eight, Kallanish learns from oil services company Baker Hughes. The US rig count rose to 586 for the week ended 19 July, still 83 fewer units than in the equivalent week of 2023.
