Ural Steel reduces dust emissions with sinter overhauls
Zagorsk Pipe Plant (ZTZ)’s Ural Steel plant is reconstructing the gas cleaning equipment at its sintering shops, the company says.
Total investments are about RUB 500 million ($5.2m), Kallanish notes. The project is part of the plant’s large environmental programme, aimed at reducing dust emissions from sinter production by more than 30%.
Measures taken in April made it possible to improve the collection of fine dust to 59 mg/nm³, the firm says.…
