Union Partners buys Berg Steel
US private equity company Union Partners LLC has added Royal Oak, Michigan, service centre Berg Steel Corporation to its portfolio, Kallanish learns from a company announcement.
Union Partners – which also owns Lee Steel, Mapes & Sprowl Steel, Chicago Steel Holdings and others – will continue to operate Berg Steel under the extant company name. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
