Union Iron & Steel enters Saudi market
Abu Dhabi-based Union Iron & Steel Company (UIS) has begun rebar deliveries to the Saudi Arabian market after receiving the SASO Certification from Saudi authorities to supply 8-40mm diameter rebar.
The firm has already booked 8,000 tonnes of rebar to Saudi Arabia, a UIS official tells Kallanish. The Saudi market is likely to play a major role in the re-roller’s business over the next 2-3 years, he adds.
