Union attacks UK government on steel procurement
It has taken two days for market reaction to become public, but British trade union Unite has attacked the UK government for its lack of support for domestic steelmakers. A government report on procurement earlier in the week disclosed the fact that only 43% of its own steel purchases are being sourced by the authorities from the UK market.
