Unger wins design award for Vienna rail station roof
Austria’s Unger Steel Group received the European Steel Design Award from the European Convention for Constructional Steelwork (ECCS) last week in Istanbul. The award is given biannually for projects which represent the outstanding properties of steel in modern architecture. Unger’s winning project was for the construction of a diamond-shaped roof at the new Vienna Central Railway Station.
