Uncertainty persists in US scrap market
After reaching settlements for October trading, the US scrap market is questioning the trend for next month’s trading amid huge uncertainty.
With sides reaching settlements at the end of last week, shredded prices fell $10-15/gross ton, while prime and HMS grades remained mostly flat during October trading. P&S scrap prices followed different trends depending on the region, remaining flat in some regions and decreasing by $10/gt in others.
