Ulbrich Stainless warns customers of market fluctuations
US specialty steelmaker Ulbrich Stainless is warning customers to expect rising prices and extended lead-times as the Russian invasion of Ukraine sends shockwaves into markets around the world.
With the price of nickel skyrocketing this week and the London Metal Exchange halting the trading of nickel, several melt mills have stopped taking orders “until this situation settles itself out,” Ulbrich says in a letter to customers seen by Kallanish.
