Ukrainian steel plants receive lower scrap tonnage
Steel plants in Ukraine were supplied with less scrap tonnages in April compared with the previous month, show data from the Ukrainian association of secondary metals, UAVtormet.
The volume amounted to 220,600 tonnes, while mills required 195,000t of scrap last month, Kallanish notes.
The largest consumers in April were Interpipe with 44,600t, DMK with 42,900t, Azovstal with 41,200t, MMK’s Ilyich works with 35,700t and Zaporizhstal with 16,400t.
