Ukrainian steel output forecast to decrease in 2020
Ukrainian steel plants could reduce production by -4.1% on-year in 2020 to 20 million tonnes, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic curbing demand, says the country’s scrap industry association UAVtormet.
This forecast looks quite optimistic against the decrease in domestic steel production in January-April of -9.5% on-year to 6.73mt, the association comments.
