Ukraine scrap collection could reach 1.8mt: UAVtormet

In the first half of 2024, Ukraine's ferrous scrap industry demonstrated growth, with supplies to steelmakers rising 1.7-fold on-year to 687,000 tonnes. Scrap procurement increased 1.6-fold to 860,000t, while exports surged 35.3% to 124,500t, according to the Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet).
