Ukraine’s June steel, pig iron production fall slightly

Ukrainian steel companies decreased production in June compared with the previous month, amid the Russia-Ukraine war, unfavourable global market conditions and logistical problems, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom. Last month’s crude steel output amounted to 734,700 tonnes, down 0.4% from May, but it was still 68.4% more year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
