Ukraine’s galvanized steel consumption decreases as imports fall
Ukraine’s consumption of galvanized steel in January-September decreased by -11% on-year to 227,000 tonnes, says the Ukrainian Centre for Steel Construction (USSS). At the same time, imports fell by -16.8% to 79,000t.
However, exports in the third quarter increased by 50% on-year to 52,000t and domestic production by 7% to 113,000t, Kallanish notes.
