Ukraine's Electrostal produces zero in January
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal did not produce at all in January, versus 3,000 tonnes of billet output in January 2020.
In December the plant was also idle, while in November it produced only 2,000t of product (see Kallanish passim). In October output was 10,000t and in September it was 6,000t.
The company has not commented on the reason for the sharp decline in December and January.
