Pandemic hampers output at Ukraine's Electrostal
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal produced the same level of billet in January-September compared to the same period of 2019, the company confirms to Kallanish.
Output amounted to 73,000 tonnes. September production totalled 6,000t and in August it was 11,000t.
“Production was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic and low demand in the steel market,” the enterprise says.
