Billet output rebounds at Ukraine's Electrostal
Ukrainian electric arc furnace-based steelmaker Electrostal increased production of billet in January-October, the company confirms to Kallanish.
Output amounted to 83,000 tonnes, up by 13.7% on-year. October production totalled 10,000t and in September it was 6,000t.
In January-March 2019 Elektrostal was completely idle due to the rise in prices for ferrous scrap, which made production unprofitable (see Kallanish passim). From mid-March it partially resumed work…
