Ukraine steel consumption continues to increase
Ukraine ramped up consumption of steel products in January-July, including rolled and semi-finished products, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom.
The volume amounted to 2.03 million tonnes, up by 1.7% on-year, Kallanish notes.
Seven-month steel imports were around 711,600t, up 5.6% on-year, thus accounting for 35% of domestic rolled steel consumption.
