Ukraine exhausts EU stainless pipe quota
Ukrainian steel companies have exhausted their current round of EU supply quotas for stainless steel pipe, show national metals association Ukrmetallurgprom data. The quotas are from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020.
Shipments to the EU have amounted to the full 13,200-tonne quota, Kallanish notes. The main producer of seamless stainless steel pipe in Ukraine is Centravis. In 2019 it increased production by 5.5% on-year to 21,100t.
