Lower demand, prices slash Ukrainian output

Ukrainian steelmakers produced 11.9 million tonnes of crude steel in January-July, down by -6.8% on-year, show data published by national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom. In July alone steel production amounted to 1.766mt, less by -1% on-year. Pig iron output declined in January-July by -1.3% on-year to 11.74mt. Pipe production also declined, by -28.5% to 0.47mt.
