Ukraine continues to reduce coke production
Ukrainian coke plants reduced production of blast furnace coke to 212,000 tonnes in January, down by 43% on-year, show national coke-chemical association Ukrkoks data.
Coke production is running at most Ukrainian enterprises, like Yuzhkoks, Kametstal, Zaporizhkoks, as well as ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. The country’s largest coke maker, Avdiivka Coke Plant, part of Metinvest, is however idle due to the war in Ukraine.
