Ukraine continues to increase steel, pig iron output
Ukraine increased production of crude steel in January-August, show national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom preliminary data.
Output in the first eight months of the year totalled 14.6 million tonnes, up by 6.7% on-year. Production of rolled products increased by 5.9% to 12.99mt.
Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, produced 2.9mt of pig iron in January-August, up by 1.2% on-year, with crude steel and rolled products …
