Ukraine continues to decrease steel production

Ukrainian steel companies reduced production in January-July due to the Russian-Ukrainian war and rising global prices, according to national steel association Ukrmetallurgprom. Seven-month crude steel output amounted to 4.82 million tonnes, down by 62% on-year, Kallanish notes. Output of pig iron decreased by 62% to 4.81mt and rolled products were down 62.6% to 4.23mt.
