UK rail union says budget cuts hit Tata
The British railway employees’ union RMT highlights another possible reason to add to the mix as to why Tata Steel UK has been struggling. In a press release, the union says that government-run railway infrastructure operator Network Rail’s annual spend with Tata fell in financial year 2014-2105. RMT is calling for the UK government to speed up rails renewal work to support the domestic steel sector.
