UK passenger car output tumbles in 2018
A bad year ended badly for the UK car production sector in December 2018, according to data released by the UK Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) monitored by Kallanish. Production of passenger vehicles for both the domestic and export markets tumbled year-on-year. One bright spot, but only marginally so, was an increase in the much lower-volume commercial vehicle (CV) output.
