UK mulls Indian stainless bar, rod duty revocation
The UK Trade Remedies Authority (TRA) has proposed that countervailing duties on certain stainless steel bar and rod from India be revoked, Kallanish notes.
The products fall under HS codes 72 22 20 21, 72 22 20 29, 72 22 20 31, 72 22 20 39, 72 22 20 81 and 72 22 20 89.
Although there have been subsidised imports of the goods while the measures were in place, and this will likely continue, injury to UK industry would be unlikely to recur if the measure were revok…
