UK car output rises in October, struggles year-to-date
UK car manufacturing rose year-on-year in October as production of vehicles for export did likewise, according to the latest SMMT report monitored by Kallanish. It now appears that UK car output in 2017 will be lower than previously expected. Conversely a significant fall in the number of commercial vehicles (CV) manufactured for export drove down overall CV output for the month.
