Costlier energy, forex earning regulation impede steelmakers: Dalbeler
Turkish steelmakers’ production costs have increased by 50-60% due to the rises seen in energy prices in the new year, says Turkish Steel Exporters’ Association (CIB) vice president Uğur Dalbeler.
Pointing out that 20% of industrial energy is consumed by the steel industry, Dalbeler told Bloomberg HT that large producers are most exposed to higher rate hikes amid the latest amendments.
