Ugitech develops new stainless grade for heavy wear
Schmolz+Bickenbach-owned French mill Ugitech has introduced a stainless steel grade that meets several criteria such as hardness, corrosion resistance and impact strength, together with a machinability that is relevant for quality and cost effectiveness.
These are determining factors in the lifecycle costs of wear parts such as valve seats, bending guides and nozzles for abrasive liquids, the steelmaker says in a release sent to Kallanish.
