UAE traders' rebar stocks weigh on retail prices
Rebar retail prices in United Arab Emirates are falling, with stock levels of benchmark-mill rebar high among traders, notes Kallanish.
The UAE benchmark mill hiked October-delivery rebar by AED 73/tonne ($20) versus September to AED 2,515/t ($685) ex-works payable by LC 90 days. Following this, the retail price of delivered rebar reached AED 2,480-2,500/t last week from AED 2,380-2,400/t a week prior, but has eased to AED 2,450-2,470/t this week.
