UAE rebar retail prices soar on payload limits
Rebar retail quotes in the United Arab Emirates have soared after new regulations almost halved payload limits for heavy vehicles from 1 February.
The benchmark mill opened the second round of rebar bookings for February deliveries at AED 2,315-2,332/tonne ($630-635/t) delivered on credit. This is for limited volumes, to be distributed proportionally to the rebar distributor depending on the buyer's monthly rebar intake commitment, notes Kallanish.
