UAE rebar retail market observes reduced enquiries
Rebar traders in United Arab Emirates have observed reduced rebar enquiries during the last 3-4 days.
Small-capacity traders in the north of the country – for instance, in Ajman – are selling secondary mills' rebar to contractors at around AED 2,210/tonne ($602) against cash payment. This leaves almost no margin when considering overhead, transport and operational costs, notes Kallanish.
