UAE rebar suppliers estimate lower sales in May
Including the benchmark mill, rebar suppliers in the United Arab Emirates estimate a minimum of 20% lower rebar sales in May than in April due to high inventories.
Last week, when the benchmark mill announced its price rollover, it informed traders it would tolerate up to 20% lower rebar withdrawal from the May quota. This is only if buyers make up the remaining tonnage by the end of the second quarter, notes Kallanish.
