UAE rebar retail prices increase on shortage
Rebar prices in the United Arab Emirates retail market have increased by AED 10-20/tonne ($2.7-5.4) on-week due to a shortage of rebar and billet supply. This week, Emirates Steel (ESI) material is invoiced at AED 2,510/t ($683), while non-ESI material is at AED 2,450/t ($667), delivered to the customer’s warehouse on credit payment, Kallanish notes.
