UAE rebar market stabilises, wire rod slips
United Arab Emirates rebar traders report better demand and more stable prices in August than in July.
Last week, the benchmark mill sealed spot sales deals with its rebar traders, achieving an average net price, after deducting rebate, of AED 2,170-2,180/tonne ($590-594) for August deliveries. Wire rod prices were slightly down to $580-585/t delivered, from the month-earlier level of $590-600/t delivered, both on LC 90 days, Kallanish notes.
