UAE posts highest steel consumption since 2008
United Arab Emirates recorded in 2016 its highest apparent finished steel use (ASU) since its all-time peak of 12 million tonnes in 2008, according to newly-published worldsteel data. The country posted 7.83mt of consumption last year, up 10% versus 2015.
