UAE mills eye exports amid subdued domestic market
United Arab Emirates’ rebar prices have inched down by AED 10-30/tonne ($3-8) on-week after a slow start to the week.
Mills are quoting 8-40mm rebar at AED 2,400-2,505/t ($653-682/t) ex-works. However, stockists and retailers are selling at AED 2,400-2,450/t ($653-667/t) delivered. “There’s very low or no profitability of rebar, since the beginning of the month,” explains a retailer.
