UAE improves trade balance with US export surge
United Arab Emirates exports of ferrous products under HS chapter 72 fell -3% on-year in January-September 2020 to 2.22 million tonnes, according to newly-published data from the UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority monitored by Kallanish.
This means exports picked up in the third quarter after they had fallen -5% on-year in the first half of 2020. The trend nevertheless remained considerably down on Q1 when exports surged 40% on-year.
