UAE ferrous imports slow, exports accelerate
United Arab Emirates imports of ferrous products under HS chapter 72 surged 38% on-year in the nine months through September 2018 to 5.7 million tonnes. This is according to new UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority data monitored by Kallanish. Growth however slowed from 46% after six months.
Unlike in previous versions of its foreign trade report, the authority no longer provides the countries of origin or destinations.
