UAE ferrous imports, re-exports surge
United Arab Emirates imports of ferrous products under HS chapter 72 surged 46% on-year in the first half of 2018 to 3.9 million tonnes. This is according to UAE Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority data monitored by Kallanish.
The authority has published its first new foreign trade statistics report following a long break since July 2018. However, unlike previously, it no longer provides the countries of origin or destinations.
